Returns

We only produced 80 pieces, and each scarf takes our maker hours to make. Since we do not produce in surplus nor wastefully burn returns and unsold items, it will be very difficult for us to accept returns if the item is not in perfect condition and shows any signs of usage, please contact us for further instructions. You are also welcome to meet Lui for a coffee in Zurich to see the scarf in person! We are working towards having a showroom in the future. Please also feel free to write us if you have any questions.

FAQs
FAQs
  • What is A Happy Thing?
A Happy Thing works closely with swiss makers to create sustainably made, fair, timeless apparel that involves meticulous attentiveness to craftsmanship, working closely with our makers allows us to be able to proudly stand behind every item we produce. Read more in the About page. Follow us on instagram for latest updates!
  • Pricing? And how are the makers compensated?
We believe that for a truly sincere and genuine collaboration we certainly have to make sure our makers are protected and fully compensated for their work, from the outset we are both transparent with work hours and material costs, the maker then provides a wholesale offer and therefore A Happy Thing takes all the risk.
  • Where does the packaging come from?
It’s extremely difficult for small productions to acquire custom packaging solutions. To execute our uncompromising adherence to local production. We developed our own and found a way to produce them here, right in Zurich. Elegant and plastic free. As a result the boxes are designed and made in Zurich, letterpress cards are printed in Basel, and everything hand-assembled by the happy team. We made numerous tests and pushed ourselves to get creative because for us a true luxury is to explore and work with resources that we have, with people around us. Special thanks to OK Digitaldruck AG (Zurich), Druckkollektiv Phönix (Basel) and Optipac GmbH (St. Gallen).
  • Where are the scarves produced ? How long does it take to produce one scarf?
Here! All our scarves are handwoven by one maker, Susanne Vontobel in her atelier in Egg, Zurich. Each scarf takes about 5 hours to make from start to finish, excluding design, development, postproduction and packaging.
  • When will I receive my order?
Upon receipt of payment we will attentively package your items and ship within 5 working days, except company vacation which in that case will be announced on instagram. You will receive a notification and tracking number via email once the item is shipped. Normally it takes 2 to 3 days for Swiss Post Registered Mail (Einschreiben) to arrive. Write us if your order is urgent or if you have any special request.
  • I accidentally damaged my scarf, what should I do?"
We are sorry to hear that! Please do not worry and contact us, it will be helpful if you can provide photos and a brief description, we will consult our maker for professional advice and respond to you as soon as possible.
  • Do you have a showroom?
We currently do not have a showroom but we are working towards it! Subscribe to our newsletter if you wish to stay updated.
